Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^
It'll be my first contest that I've held...EVER! So it's very exciting :3

I've been getting a lot of stuff in my inbox lately and even though I love to reply to all of it and check it all out, it's very, VERY time consuming, so I won't be able to reply as much as before.
Especially because I have some homework to catch up on and need to find a job.
So please don't be mad if I don't reply for a while.

Request Critiques!
With all the comments I get, there's only about a third of it that's actual talk, like between friends and also ideas on how to improve art. The rest is just "hey, what's up?" lol
So I'll stop replying to those random comments even though I still like them.
But I'd love to write critiques and give ideas or an opinion if you want.
A few of my friends that are beginners at space art already do that and it's fun to help each other out

So go ahead and request critiques to your art.
Don't be afraid because you think that it's really bad or anything.
Another point of view and/or some tips are always helpful!
And if you want you can also critique my art, I actually learn the most from that!

Whenever you're out of ideas on what to do for your art, what do you do?
Do you go outside, do you listen to music, play a game, read a book, or do you simply stare at the screen like a soul-less idiot that doesn't know what to do at the moment. (that's what I do lol)

Inspirations just come from my head. >.< I don't know~ for literature stuff, I usually have a sentence that I really like and I work with it, but for actual art...well, I haven't really drawn anything except for referance sheets and contest stuff lately, so I'm not sure....

I personally like your spaceart, but I think you have some great photography as well; I'm not into cars, aha. ^^' I guess the main thing that strikes me about your gallery is that it fits what I like in spaceart personally. Don't know how to describe it, but, yeah.

Whenever I do my space art I try to think of a theme, but then I think of better stuff so I don't always stick to the theme.
And then I think of a name with how what I just created inspires me.

Yes, the last sentence is very important because it concludes the poem and has to leave that "feeling" that you're trying to invoke to the reader!

Lol I deleted all the stuff that I wrote, it was on my other computer that I had to give back to school so yeah.
Good thing you're able to stick to your main idea/theme from the beginning most of the time!
It's kinda hard for me to do that!
I got a few request and most of them, I was only able to stay 90% to the theme and I had to work longer than usual lol

Well yeah in literature, the most important is the first and last sentences.
I already said about the last.
And for the first sentence, it's basically the introduction and what draws in the reader!
I'm more of an essay person so whenever I write it's for assignments and I get A's on it all the time, but once I'm done I don't feel like writing for a while lol
I tried stories, but now I don't like them anymore because I can do better (I also lost them) but I don't have the inspiration anymore now that I grew out of anime and stuff like that lol

Well some people like a quote, but those are the hardcore readers/writers, but for regular people that enjoy just a little literature or just started getting into it, it's confusing so they won't get itnerested in it you see.
I dunno why I"m so good at talking about writing than actually writing lol

Actually I don't really like essays because it's homework, but it's so easy for me...
I'm a kiss-ass by heart so yeah, the teacher hear what they like to hear on an essay lol
